What does Eid symbolize to you?
It is a celebration for you to be good to one another, enjoy wonderful food, and feel heavenly because of the special prayers that are performed in the morning. We pray as much as we can, donate, and do everything we can for the wellbeing of ourselves and others. What matters most is spending time with your family.
Tell us all about your plans this Eid.
Hopefully, it will be like any other Eid celebration that we are all familiar with. I've been celebrating Eid since I was a child. I always make it a point to wake up early to offer Namaz; which is particularly essential during the holidays. I am looking forward to spending quality time with my family and making the most of it. My father got married recently so it’s the family’s first Eid post-marriage. Every year rituals are the same.
What are your favourite Eid delicacies?
I'm enjoy certain specialties like biryani and even sheer kurma, which is traditionally served on Ramzan Eid but I'm having it this Eid as well.
Tell us a bit about your look for Eid this year? Will you go all out or prefer to keep it simple?
An elegant, flowy salwar suit will be my outfit for Eid this year. I have chosen one in a very beautiful pastel shade. Pastel shades are perfect for the monsoons. I will accessorise the look with jhumkas.
What makes you look forward to Eid?
As you get older, you understand that the divine alone has the greatest power.
So prayers are quite beneficial in connecting with the Almighty. Since I am not shooting on Eid this year, I look forward to praying and enjoying a delicious feast with my family. Eid will definitely be a cheat day, with all the diet rules broken. There is a lot of happiness and cheer flowing during the festivities and it's a wonderful feeling overall.
